Designing our own family home in Blackrock, Dublin, was both a joy and a true labour of love. As an interior designer in Dublin, taking on such a personal project brought its unique set of challenges, but also immense rewards. We are incredibly grateful for the chance to create a space that not only reflects our design philosophy, but also beautifully and practically supports our everyday family life. This project stands as a testament to our expertise in bespoke residential interior design in Dublin.

Originally a 1930s house needing significant restoration, we collaborated closely with a talented team of builders and craftsmen to reimagine and extend the property. The new layout includes an additional bedroom and offers a better flow for modern living, while carefully preserving the character of the original home. The design balances timeless style with functionality, featuring a classic, understated palette that feels both elegant and family-friendly. 

Some of our favourite elements include our bespoke kitchen – truly the heart of the home – and the beautiful French doors that open onto the garden, flooding the space with light. Restored features like the salvaged fireplace, traditional coving, and cast-iron bath bring a sense of history and charm that we deeply appreciate, making this a truly unique period home interior in Dublin. This house was always so much more than just a project; it's a place we're so happy to call home.
